Thanks to our sponsors, volunteers, vendors and guests for making the 6th annual River North SummerFest 2007 a smashing success! As usual, the organizers are comparing notes and exploring ways to make next year's event even better! Design Proposal For New Dog Park At the September 26 RNRA Community Meeting, a potential design for the north portion of Erie Park was discussed. The plan envisions three sections in the area west of Larabee and north of Erie: an on-leash area with limited riverfront access, a general purpose off-leash area and a smaller off-leash area for smaller dogs. This general concept was endorsed by Alderman Natarus, representatives of the River North Dog Owners Association and most of the meeting attendees, although engineering, landscaping, funding and other considerations will almost certainly necessitate some modifications before the plans are finalized.
